Training available for PhD candidates

Different units at TU Delft offer training for PhD candidates and researchers in topics such as research data and software management and other related digital skills:

  • TU Delft Library coordinates creation and provision of Research Data and Software Management training. The training is delivered by trainers of the library, faculty data stewards, the Digital Competence Center (DCC) team and researchers.
  • The TU Delft Institute for Computational Science and Engineering offers courses on computational skills, which can also improve the efficiency and reproducibility of the workflows when working with data and software.
  • PhD candidates and researchers can also follow relevant external courses on research software management and digital skills, for example, those provided by the Netherlands eScience Center. The organisers provide a certification of the hours of the training, which normally are accepted by faculty graduate schools as part of the Doctoral Education (DE) program.
